<p>FlexStaff is hiring a temporary Administrative Support Associate for our client.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Welcomes patients and visitors to the medical office by greeting patients and visitors in person and on the telephone and answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members. </li><li>Schedules appointments for the physicians and physician assistant to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time and most effective use of examining and treatment rooms. </li><li>Confirms all appointments prior to date of service. </li><li>Verify insurance and inform the patient of needed referrals before the date of service. </li><li>Assists patients with copayments, and billing questions. </li><li>Retrieve patient's files in EMR, verify the information on file, and inserts new patient record forms, and information. </li><li>Protect patient's rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information. </li><li>Endeavors to keep patients on schedule by reminding provider of service delays. </li><li>Assists ill or distraught patients as necessary. Telephones taxis or family members when necessary for transportation. </li><li>Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition. </li><li>Participates in the medical office emergency routine when required. Summons ambulance or EMS or assists other staff members as needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. </li><li>1+ year of experience working as a receptionist. </li><li>Excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation. </li><li>Exceptional customer service skills. </li><li>Friendly and compassionate disposition with strong interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Excellent time management skills and ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow. </li><li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team. </li><li>Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records </li><li>Additional Salary Detail </li></ul> <p>The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
