<p>Program Capacity VISTA- Connecticut Foodshare</p> <p>Connecticut Foodshare is the state's only Feeding America food bank. We support individuals and families - from one end of the state to the other - by addressing root causes, creating long-term solutions, and distributing nutritious food through local partner programs in an effort to alleviate hunger. Connecticut is home to great wealth but also some of the poorest cities in the nation. This position works with the Mobile Pantry and CSFP senior box programs to make improvements that will positively impact thousands of people who use these programs every month. This position requires a caring person, able to connect in a genuine way with people from every demographic. Someone who radiates respect and compassion, is direct, honest and comfortable speaking to groups of people. Good Microsoft Office skills and the ability to troubleshoot and improve processes is preferred. Statewide travel required with mileage reimbursed. Transportation required. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.</p> <p>Member Duties : Visit Mobile Pantry and CSFP sites to understand program objectives, practices and challenges. Members will develop program improvements to increase value to neighbors attending mobile pantry and those receiving the Commodity Supplemental Food Program.
