That's why we are always looking for curious minds that see themselves imagining the unimaginable with us.</p> <p>Your Role:</p> <p>We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking scientist with a background in biochemistry / Biology to join our multidisciplinary R&D team responsible for developing new technologies, products and applications for our existing products.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop new products and application expertise aligned with current business strategy to address needs of researchers within protein sample prep and analysis workflow across a wide range of applications. </li><li>Work closely with operations and quality to support product changes as well as customer complaint resolution as internal customer of these products in real life. </li><li>Identify and gain expertise in new applications for existing MilliporeSigma products. </li><li>Leverage specialized knowledge and analytical skills to solve complex problems. </li><li>Engage with engineering, marketing personnel and other scientists, as well as with external collaborators and customers. </li><li>Participate in strategic planning to identify new areas for future development in life science. </li><li>Plan experiments and write protocols, report activities & results. </li><li>Ensure coordination with project managers, technical leads and management through good communication. </li><li>Present technical seminars at conferences, workshops and customer sites. </li><li>Provide technical leadership on cross-functional teams supporting the product development process. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>MS degree in Biology, Biotechnology, biochemistry, or a closely related bioscience field. </li><li>2 years of experience in an academic and/or industrial lab working in protein science, biochemistry etc. </li><li>Hands on experience across a range of life science applications - Protein preparation & analysis workflows, molecular biology, Biochemistry etc. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related Bioscience field </li><li>Some experience in protein expression, purification as well as cell biology and virus work will be beneficial. </li><li>Experience defining customer needs and developing new products a plus </li><li>Previous experience mentoring or supervising other laboratory scientists is desirable </li><li>Highly organized; self-starter able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; adapt well to change and able to prioritize multiple projects </li><li>Innovative problem solver with creative thinking skills for overcoming difficult experimental challenges </li><li>Ability to work equally well on a multidisciplinary team or independently </li><li>Excellent experimental planning and data interpretation skills </li><li>Strong communication and presentation skills </li><li>Ability to navigate ambiguity and provide clear direction in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment, ensuring effective execution across stakeholders. </li><li>Experience leading across a complex, international network of stakeholders, including Commercial, R&D, Quality and Operations. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range for this position: $83,000 - $149,200</p> <p>The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
