When hospitals cannot provide advanced care, expertise and new treatment options their patients require, they turn to us.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Director of Procedural Nursing will provide strategic leadership for the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Electrophysiology Laboratories (both inpatient and ambulatory services) and Interventional Radiology for Hartford Hospital. The Director will lead with a consumer driven focus to ensure high quality personalized and coordinated care that is also in alignment with the organization's core strategies and operating results.</p> <p>Key Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides leadership to the Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Electrophysiology Laboratories by identifying the resources required to achieve operating results and advocate for them. Effectively and continually communicates with the staff and leadership to facilitate the flow of information necessary for the success of the employees and the organization </li><li>Facilitates the effective utilization of resources by understanding the function of procedural services and linking to the organization's core strategies. Provides strategic planning, oversight and program planning and development utilizing a project base process and, whenever applicable, articulates to others a clear rationale for research-based decisions and actions </li><li>Contributes and facilities continuous improvements for care and processes, participates in performance/quality improvement opportunities and promotes a safe working environment </li><li>Encourages innovation and supports reasonable risk-taking, being open to new ideas </li><li>Organizes the collection, interpretation and use of credible, accurate and consistent data related to the structure, process and outcomes of practices. Promotes and oversees an effective peer review process relative to evidence based on standards </li><li>Collaborates and consults with peers and colleagues, including physicians negotiating mutually workable solutions in order to ensure consistency and continuity of functional applications across the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Electrophysiology Laboratories </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in related field and Master's Degree are required. One degree must be in nursing </li><li>Current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut </li><li>Five plus years of nursing experience that includes Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Electrophysiology Laboratory or Critical Care experience </li><li>Two plus years of leadership experience </li><li>Knowledge of Cardiology services operations and regulatory Highly effective analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills </li><li>Strong communications skills required - both written and verbal </li><li>Visible leader with excellent interpersonal communication skills who relates well with all levels of the organization </li><li>A creative, forward-thinking leader with the proven ability to engage, coach and mentor direct reports, colleagues and other key stakeholders </li><li>A demonstrated track record designing strategies and delivering solutions in areas including, but not limited to, patient experience, patient safety, employee engagement and workflow redesign </li></ul> <p>We take great care of careers.</p> <p>With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
