We are building tomorrow, together.</p> <p>Your New Job</p> <p>The Position:</p> <p>We are seeking a Site Superintendent to join our growing team. The site superintendent will be responsible for performing their job duties in a safe and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the construction industry, but training is provided.</p> <p>Must have a valid driver's license and pass a pre-employment drug screening. The project manager will be responsible to get to various job sites throughout the area and manager multiple foremen.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Ensure all private and public locates have been performed. </li><li>Make sure drop box has all the information needed for the crew. </li><li>Turn in all daily safety paperwork. </li><li>Brief crew daily on tasks and locations for work to be performed. </li><li>Represent OVE in all project meetings. </li><li>Work closely with customers and GC for scheduling. </li><li>Assist in site schedule (3 week look ahead) </li><li>Tracking all materials being utilized on project. </li><li>Scheduling/Managing subcontractors. </li><li>Make sure crew has all equipment lined up and mobilized to the job </li><li>Staking/layout is complete and ready for crew. </li><li>Ensure crews understand the job and prints. </li><li>As- built completed throughout the project. </li><li>Safety on the job is being followed per OSHA standards and customer / OVE policies. </li><li>Continued communication with the customer throughout the project </li><li>Continued communication with OVE PM throughout the project </li><li>Assisting in recruiting and retention of employees </li><li>Assisting with managing of OVE equipment on your site. Making sure all equipment is working per manufactures recommendations and all equipment workorders are filled out and or taken care of. </li><li>Tracking of rental equipment </li><li>Training of new employees and teaching them the OVE Way </li><li>Assist with billing each month. </li><li>Approve job cost invoices. </li><li>Manage T&M tickets. </li><li>Customer relations </li><li>Bring in new business. </li><li>Communicating issues and solving issues with manpower, schedule, and equipment </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience and knowledge of underground utility construction </li><li>Customer service skills to communicate with inspectors and administration to develop positive working relationship. </li><li>Analytical skills for handling unexpected issues and delays </li><li>Initiative for generating business opportunities. </li><li>Leadership skills for delegating tasks to subcontractors and employees </li><li>Speaking skills for providing clear orders to subcontractors and employees </li><li>Technical skills for interpreting construction methods, specifications, and drawings </li><li>History of working successfully with a team to complete a common goal, "team player." </li><li>Time management skills to meet deadlines. </li><li>Writing skills to document work progress, change orders and everyday reporting. </li><li>Regularly report project status to project managers and or GC </li><li>Knowledge and experience on how to read and understand blueprints. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of OSHA guidelines, equipment, and construction procedures </li><li>High school or equivalent education </li><li>Valid Driver's license with a good driving record </li><li>Subject to pre-employment drug test and MVR </li><li>Must be able to meet physical demands of the position; ability to lift up to 75 pounds. </li><li>A positive can-do attitude and openness to trying things new ways </li><li>GRIT values - Guts, Reliability, Innovation, and Teamwork </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in the telecom, utility, construction, and/or engineering industry </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule to include: nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed. </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 40 to 90 pounds </li><li>Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement </li><li>Must be able to safely operate company vehicles or workaround heavy equipment and machinery </li><li>Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time </li><li>Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing work </li><li>Must be able to ascend and descend ladders </li><li>Must be able to work in small/confined areas </li><li>Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear </li></ul> <p>Minimum Required Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license </li><li>OSHA 10 </li></ul> <p>Why Work At Congruex</p> <p>No matter what role you play, you are an important part of the One Congruex Family.
