Achieving this requires innovative thinking and a creative approach to challenges. We collaborate and partner with school administrators, teachers, and counseling staff to best support our clients. Our aspiration is to enhance the health of our community.</p> <p>Work You'll Do</p> <p>As a School Based Therapist, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide behavioral health assessments and evidence-based interventions to clients and their families. </li><li>Prepare treatment plans; monitor progress; provide follow-up and case management / community referrals; and consult with other professional, paraprofessionals, and school staff. </li><li>Provide 5-6 scheduled hours of direct care daily </li><li>Provide group therapy, offer trainings for school staff, and offer other psycho-educational interventions as needed. </li><li>Document all notes / interventions in a timely manner. </li><li>Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed to clients on your caseload. </li><li>Ensure a safe, comfortable, and confidential therapeutic environment, officing in the school </li><li>Receive ongoing supervision and attend 28 hours of approved clinical training per year, in addition to Center required trainings. </li><li>Enjoy a 10-month school year (contracted work) </li><li>Summer work in June and July is available and encouraged, but not mandatory </li><li>Enjoy scheduled time off as the work schedule aligns with the Public Schools calendar and school breaks </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology or directly related field. </li><li>Must have current good-standing registration in DORA </li><li>Understanding of brief, empirically supported, solution-focused interventions with children, adolescents, and families. </li><li>Strong familiarity with DSM V, ICD 10 and diagnostic techniques </li><li>Strong comfort and familiarity with crisis intervention skills and processes </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills </li><li>Computer literacy </li><li>Fabulous attitude and belief in the resiliency of clients </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Professional Counseling Licensure: LP, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT </li><li>Bilingual skills </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>10 month position, Mon-Fri normal work hours, working in 1-2 schools with children grades k-12. Positions available in District 1, 50 and 27J</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting Pay Range: $47,500 to $54,175 annually for the 10-month school year.</p> <p>Option to work summer programs for additional pay</p> <p>Eligible for $250/month Bilingual Stipend</p> <p>Application Deadline:</p> <p>Accepting application on an on-going basis</p> <p>So-what do you think?</p> <p>If you've come this far, we're eager to meet you.
