<p>This position offers a $75,000+ starting salary (based on experience) and an excellent benefits package.</p> <p>At Country Meadows, nursing leadership is about more than overseeing care-it's about supporting residents in a homelike environment while guiding and developing the teams who care for them every day. We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who brings strong clinical skills, a hands-on leadership style, and a commitment to both resident well-being and team support. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing and campus leadership to provide day-to-day clinical oversight, support staff development, and help ensure consistent, high-quality care in a setting where relationships matter and leadership is present.</p> <p>Opportunity Details:</p> <ul> <li>Full-time dayshift primarily Monday-Friday </li><li>To support continuous resident care and campus operations, this role includes: a rotating schedule of every 4th weekend, two 11:00am-7:00pm shifts per month, participation in a management holiday rotation and flexibility to meet On Call campus needs. </li></ul> <p>Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Clinical Operations & Resident Care</p> </li><li> <p>Provide direct nursing services as needed to support resident health and safety</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct and review head-to-toe assessments for new and returning residents</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in wellness team meetings and coordinate ongoing resident assessments</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor quality of care delivery and ensure consistency in clinical practices</p> </li><li> <p>Complete and review DHS-required assessments for assigned residents</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure care and support plans are communicated and followed by care teams</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain open communication with residents, families, physicians, and care teams</p> </li><li> <p>Support resident wellness through ongoing evaluation and coordination of care</p> </li><li> <p>Leadership, Team Support & Development</p> </li><li> <p>Provide hands-on supervision of personal care staff and support nursing team oversight</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of care staff</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations</p> </li><li> <p>Support staffing coordination in collaboration with the Director of Nursing</p> </li><li> <p>Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on collaboration and accountability</p> </li><li> <p>Clinical Compliance, Safety & Documentation</p> </li><li> <p>Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with infection control practices, tracking, and reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure medication associate training and monitoring meets required standards</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor for safety concerns, including potential abuse or neglect, and respond appropriately</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate documentation and serve as a PointClickCare resource for staff</p> </li><li> <p>Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Resident Experience</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with dining, life enrichment, therapy, and chaplain services to support resident well-being</p> </li><li> <p>Provide social, emotional, and supportive care to residents and families</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident experience and outcomes</p> </li></ul> <p>Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of employment </li><li>2-4 years of clinical nursing experience in assisted living, personal care, or long-term care </li><li>Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred </li><li>Strong knowledge of resident care practices, care planning, and team support </li><li>Experience supervising or guiding care staff, including coaching and training </li><li>Proficiency with electronic health records (e.g., PointClickCare) and basic computer systems </li><li>Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills </li><li>CPR certification required </li></ul> <p>Our Investment in You</p> <ul> <li>Above standard industry pay and comprehensive benefits including Highmark Blue Shield and employer-matching 401(k) </li><li>Length of service bonus </li><li>Generous paid time off, including holidays, your birthday, a Personal Day of Meaning, and the opportunity to roll over unused time </li><li>Supplemental life insurance, company-paid short-term disability, and optional long- and short-term disability plans </li></ul> <p>Our Support for You</p> <ul> <li>Family-owned, private company based in Hershey, PA </li><li>Direct access to your supervisory team </li><li>Incentivized career paths and tuition reimbursement </li><li>On-the-job training and continuing education </li><li>Employee Assistance Program for you and your family </li><li>Co-worker Foundation (grants for times of need) </li><li>Helping Hand interest-free loans </li></ul> <p>About Country Meadows</p> <p>We have over 2500 co-workers who are serving our residents with meaning, thriving with purpose and leading our company with innovation!
