<p>This Opportunity</p> <p>WSP is currently searching for a Junior Party Chief to join our Land Surveying and Geospatial Team out of our Worcester-MA, Boston-MA, and Merrimack-NH offices. Be a part of a growing group of survey professionals working on a wide variety of internal and external projects and help our clients meet their objectives and solve their challenges.</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <ul> <li>This is a full-time position performing survey field work in a supporting role under the guidance of a party chief. The position may also involve performing survey field work in a leading role when needed, either working independently or with an instrument operator. Candidates will also interact with office staff and the management team when needed. </li><li>Candidates can expect to work on a wide variety of survey projects in different sectors such as commercial, transportation, environmental, industrial, institutional, and energy projects. </li><li>Candidates can expect to work on project sites within the greater Boston Area, and the entire state of Massachusetts, but there may be occasions where project sites are located outside of this area and travel may be a possibility. Project sites may be located in rural areas, urban environments, and everything in between with the majority of the work being outdoors. </li><li>Candidates will utilize a variety survey instruments and other equipment to obtain measurements and perform field surveys. Candidates will also prepare notes and sketches in a clear and legible manner </li><li>Candidates may interact with clients and the public while in the field and need to represent WSP in a positive and professional manner. </li><li>Candidates may be asked to perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. </li><li>Candidates are required to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED required but ideal candidates will have obtained higher education in the field of land surveying or an associated field. </li><li>2+ years of experience in the field of land surveying and geospatial services or an associated field. </li><li>Possess basic knowledge of common survey equipment, practices, and procedures </li><li>Possess a willingness to learn </li><li>Successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle and Background screening. </li><li>Effective interpersonal and communication skills and should be detail oriented and organized </li><li>Ability to work independently with supervision or as part of a team to complete field tasks related to land surveying. </li><li>Physical ability to perform the duties of this position which may include walking long distances and carrying equipment up to 50 pounds in weight. </li><li>Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and be willing to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. </li><li>Ability to work flexible schedules conducive to project-specific needs that may extend beyond the typical work hours or work weeks. May include night work and/or out of town work. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in closely related discipline is preferred. </li><li>Possess OSHA 10, or other types of safety training certifications </li><li>Possess or progressing towards LSIT or CST certifications </li><li>Knowledge of AutoCAD and Lecia Infinity or other drafting / data processing programs a plus </li></ul> <p>WSP Benefits:</p> <p>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and may offer additional benefits and compensation, depending on circumstances and the type of work being performed not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.</p> <p>#LI-TH1</p>
