Succeed. #BeHere</p> <p>Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.</p> <p>This job is ON - SITE.</p> <p>FTE: 1.000000</p> <p>Shift: Flexible 1st shift 8 am to 4:30 pm</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Child Life Program provides services by consult to families, with children between the ages of 0-18 years, of patients with varied diagnoses within Froedtert Hospital and the Clinical Cancer Center. Adult patients may be facing an inpatient hospitalization for a traumatic or life threatening illness or care is being provided for a new/ongoing diagnosis and subsequent treatment in out patient areas. Acting as an advocate for children and their families, the Child Life Specialist designs, implements and evaluates individual and group programs adhering to the Standards of Clinical Practice and the competencies of the Child Life Specialist as specified by the Child Life Council (CLC) utilizing principles of Child Development, Psychology, Therapeutic Recreation and related disciplines in order to promote optimum development and maintenance of normal living patterns and to minimize psychological trauma to children, adolescents and families.
