<p>Job Details</p> <p>(SUBJECT TO BUDGET AVAILABILITY)</p> <p>Position:</p> <p>Centrally Funded Attendance Teacher</p> <p>(ONE YEAR POSITION)</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>85H S07, Superintendent, Noah Angeles,</p> <p>Citywide High Schools</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This is a Full-Time position with a start date of September 2nd, 2025. The work year is a ten (10) month period, September through June 26, 2026. As a part of the superintendent's team, the superintendent or designee will be your immediate supervisor, provide day-to-day support and direction and assign a workspace in a district office; a school in the district in which you support in the district.</p> <p>Eligibility Requirements:</p> <p>New York City Public Schools licensed Attendance Teacher</p> <p>Selection Criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work with parents and chronically absent students </li><li>Ability to conduct outreach visits to homes </li><li>Ability to work with ATS, and Microsoft Office applications </li><li>Ability to generate and use data to improve attendance in schools </li><li>Ability to create attendance and intervention plans for chronically absent students </li></ul> <p>Duties/Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct telephone outreach to home of absent students </li><li>Make home visits as assigned in the five (5) boroughs </li><li>Document all outreach as assigned, complete all program paperwork as directed including ATS entries and ILOG </li><li>Work collaboratively with school staff in identifying and addressing the needs of chronically absent students </li><li>Work collaboratively with central staff and identifying and addressing the needs of chronically absent students </li></ul> <p>Salary:</p> <p>As per UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement</p> <p>Hours/Work Year:</p> <p>Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.,</p> <p>Inclusive of half hour lunch</p> <p>Application Process:</p> <p>Resume CV To:</p> <p>Director of Student Services and Family Engagement</p> <p>efriedman7@schools.nyc.gov</p> <p>It is the policy of the Department of Education of the City of New York to provide equal employment opportunities without regard to actual or perceived race, color, religion, creed, ethnicity, national origin, alienage, citizenship status, age, marital status, partnership status, disability, sexual orientation, gender (sex), military status, unemployment status, caregiver status, consumer credit history, prior record of arrest or conviction (except as permitted by law), predisposing genetic characteristics, or status as a victim of domestic violence, sexual offenses and stalking, and to maintain an environment free of harassment on any of the above-noted grounds, including sexual harassment or retaliation.
