<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>Salary range: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour.</p> <p>Work location: Hybrid; Vancouver, WA.</p> <p>Holland is seeking a deadline driven and detail-oriented professional to join our project accounting team as Project Accountant II, located at our corporate office in vibrant downtown Vancouver, Washington. The Project Accountant II is responsible for a variety of intermediate accounting and risk compliance functions within the Construction and Development Accounting team. The Project Accountant II prepares and distributes monthly reporting and serves as accounting liaison to the Construction and Development teams in accordance with Holland Partner Group's Core Values.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Review and coordinate accurate project draw packages and internal reporting for submission to project teams and ownership entities for funding purposes. </li><li>Identify inconsistencies or risks in compliance or billing and escalate accordingly. </li><li>Review and coordinate accurate project and Joint Venture financial statements. </li><li>Review construction risk compliance documents including lien waivers, affidavits, and preliminary notices. </li><li>Prepare and distribute monthly construction and development accounting reports to various teams. </li><li>Prepare and review capital calls and distributions. </li><li>Review and correct all direct cost and contract reconciliations. </li><li>Respond to year-end tax and audit requests as required. </li><li>Communicate daily with construction and development team personnel, subcontractors, and external vendors to field various project accounting questions. </li><li>Train and mentor junior team members. </li><li>Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times. </li><li>Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort. </li></ul> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field strongly preferred.</p> <p>Experience: Three (3) years' experience in accounting required, with experience in real estate development and/or construction project accounting strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field may be considered in lieu of specified work experience.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of accounting concepts and project accounting functions, with construction contract billing and job costing experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Intermediate financial reporting and reconciliation skills. </li><li>Knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e., journal entries, debits, credits, etc.). </li><li>Ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions. </li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, with Yardi, Textura, or similar accounting systems strongly preferred. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. </li><li>Ability to effectively work under pressure. </li><li>Ability to prioritize work, proactively meet deadlines, and adapt to changing workloads. </li></ul> <p>Attendance: This full-time position requires regular and punctual attendance compliant with the schedule set to meet company needs.
