<p>Job Description:</p> <p>www.applitrack.com/mvr3/onlineapp.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>BS in Education/Valid DESE certification in Special Education required </li><li>Special Education classroom experience preferred </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Provide instruction to students </li><li>Create and implement a classroom disciplinary plan </li><li>Create lesson plans and activities to implement and supplement instruction </li><li>Participate in building, grade-level, and subject-area committees </li><li>Participate in professional development activities </li><li>Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and discipline </li><li>Complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner </li><li>Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and other educational concerns </li><li>Participate as a member of an IEP team, 504 team, or other student assistance teams as requested </li><li>Implement special educational plans such as 504 plans, individual educational programs, and individual health plans </li><li>Report suspected abuse, neglect, discrimination, and harassment as directed by board policy </li><li>Prepare lesson plans for use by a substitute teacher </li><li>Subject area teachers may have additional duties and responsibilities </li><li>Other duties as may be assigned </li></ul> <p>For a complete listing of job responsibilities and fitness for duty requirements, see our Substitute Teacher-Long-term Job Description at www.mvr3.k12.mo.us</p> <p>TERMS: Substitute Pay Schedule; $185-$215 per day, depending on qualifications, after 15 consecutive days</p> <p>EFFECTIVE: Approximately January 5, 2026, through the end of the 2025-2026 school year</p> <p>SCREENING TO BEGIN: Immediately; open until filled</p> <p>CLASSIFICATION: Exempt</p> <p>Recommendation to be given at the January 2026 Board of Education meeting.</p> <p>NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATION: The Meramec Valley R-III School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, disability, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law in the admission, access to, treatment, and employment in its programs, services and activities.
