<p>Application Deadline: Open Until Filled</p> <p>Hourly Wage: $13.00 - $15.00</p> <p>Dependent on experience and qualifications.</p> <p>Up to 18 hours per week.Part-Time, Non-Benefited</p> <p>Under the direction of the City Clerk, this position performs a variety of professional and technical duties related to the digitization of the City Clerk's Division historical records. Position is needed until work is complete or the budget allowance is met. Duties and Responsibilities: Efficiently scan documents and complete projects per the job specifications.Operate and maintain scanners in accordance with specifications and regulations. Maintain a neat and clean area around the scanner. Complete necessary paperwork neatly and accurately. Ability to perform high levels of repetitive motion on a daily basis. Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. Strong attention to detail. Read at a level sufficient to understand documents containing titles, codes, prose of various natures, including written instructions or mathematical figures. Inspect and analyze selected subjective information to maintain quality standards in the product. Correctly and swiftly alphabetize or place in numerical order. Develop proficiency in operating scanners. Listen effectively and follow written or verbal instructions. Be able to ask questions in order to understand information being scanned so that accurate filing and digitizing are completed. Use discretion in confidentiality as needed. Written and verbal communication skills sufficient for communicating with City of Laramie staff, Wyoming State Archives staff, and others as needed. Ability to answer phones and take detailed messages. Ability to work independently and in groups. Ability to organize jobs, including prioritization, and keep in communication with supervisor as needed. Work effectively and efficiently to achieve the goals set by the supervisor. Ability to cross-train in business licenses and permitting. Provide customer service related to business licensing and permitting, and the related Laramie Municipal Code. Ability to learn website management to maintain online records. Ability to research documents in records with accuracy. Assist City Clerk with providing public records training to city staff as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Receive both oral and written information in English. Sit or stand in a stationary position for long periods of time. Repeat motions involving fingers, hands, wrists, and arms. 6-12 months related experience in an office-related setting or equivalent work experience is preferred. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to work towards obtaining certification related to public records: Public Records Officer. Working Conditions: · Ability to work in a standard office environment with some ability to travel to different sites; some exposure to outdoors. Applicants who are offered appointments will be required to pass a drug screening, a comprehensive background investigation, and a driver's license check.
