<p>Job Title: R&D Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Join our innovative team as an R&D Technician, where you will play a crucial role in developing prototype batteries in the R&D department. You will have the opportunity to specialize in specific manufacturing processes and contribute to creating the next generation of consumer products.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Measure, collect, and analyze data, providing real-time results and feedback to engineers. </li><li>Mix materials using industrial mixers. </li><li>Compress materials using hydraulic presses. </li><li>Dispense materials using hydraulic pumps. </li><li>Assemble final products using various pieces of production equipment. </li><li>Troubleshoot issues with machines and collaborate with team members to resolve them. </li><li>Manage and perform tool and die changeovers. </li><li>Ensure smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by taking an ownership mentality. </li><li>Locate sources of problems through observation and elevate causes of concern. </li><li>Complete required paperwork and document parts and material usage. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Basic computer knowledge and navigation capability. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Teams. </li><li>Experience working in a laboratory or in a manufacturing industry dealing with small parts or chemicals such as electronics, chemical, battery, or rubber manufacturing. </li><li>Experience or coursework related to chemistry, sciences, or mathematics. </li><li>Ability to lift 30 lbs. </li><li>Knowledge of proper chemical handling safety procedures. </li><li>Openness to wearing a respirator and ability to trim facial hair if necessary. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in a lab is strongly preferred. </li><li>Ability to interpret shop manuals, schematics, and work instructions. </li><li>Strong attention to detail. </li><li>An associate's degree or college coursework in a STEM field is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work in a dynamic manufacturing floor environment within an R&D lab.
