<p>B & H</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Job Title:</p> <p>Maintenance MHE Mechanic 1</p> <p>Division/Department:</p> <p>Fulfillment</p> <p>Reports to:</p> <p>Approved By:</p> <p>Viewed By:</p> <p>Scheduled Hours:</p> <p>2nd Shift - Sunday 9:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Thursday 3:45pm-11:45pm</p> <p>3rd Shift Monday-Thursday 9:00pm-7:00am</p> <p>Last Reviewed:</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>The Maintenance MHE Mechanic 1 will maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) on site, including conveyor systems, tape machines, bubble machines, box erectors, I-Pack packaging machines and bubble inserters</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Adjust scanners, cameras, field buses, scales and printer applicators </li><li>Reset, repair, or replace adjustable components (belts, chains, cables) and wearing components </li></ul> <p>guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys)</p> <ul> <li>Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment </li><li>Use appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals to conduct maintenance and troubleshooting. </li><li>Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor </li></ul> <p>starters, tachometers, encoders, etc.</p> <ul> <li>Utilize handheld devices and asset management system mobile apps to create and close Work </li></ul> <p>Orders with appropriate data (labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, and parts used)</p> <ul> <li>Follow appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while </li></ul> <p>maintaining equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), and ensure a safe work environment by</p> <p>eliminating potential equipment safety hazards</p> <p>Additional Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>As assigned by the manager </li></ul> <p>Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization </li><li>Knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to follow them </li><li>Must be able to work under pressure and exercise good judgement </li><li>PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:</p> <ul> <li>Education/course work in Mechanical or Electrical field preferred required </li><li>3+ years' experience with automated conveyors, industrial controls, PLC programs and MHE safety standards. </li><li>Basic metal fabrication and welding </li></ul> <p>Physical Environment/Occupational Risks:</p> <ul> <li>Warehouse environment </li><li>Regular bending, lifting, standing for long hours, use of hand and power tools </li></ul>
