Come be part of an organization transforming the caring field every day, here at Cleveland Clinic.</p> <p>As a Kidstyles Attendant, you will supervise children ages six months to 12 years old in the Kidstyles area, but parent(s) and/or guardian(s) must remain on the Health & Wellness Center property while children are in your care. Attendants are responsible for organizing and conducting activities in Kidstyles, on the Rock Wall, or special programs, such as camps, parties, rentals, gymnasium activities, and holiday events. This is an excellent opportunity to interact with the community while having fun every day.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 8:00AM - 8:30PM, including weekend and holiday requirements. Evening shifts ranging from 2-3 hours are in most need of coverage.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Organize and conduct activities in Kidstyles/Babysitting area and special recreational programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Comprehend center and department rules, regulations and policies and enforce them when applicable, including policies on dependents, member rules, handwashing, hospital cleanliness procedures, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Know the center's Emergency Action Plan for accidents and injuries, missing children, fire/tornado safety, etc. and demonstrate that knowledge during in-services and drills.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise the KidStyles/Babysitting area and during all special programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain order and discipline by enforcing rules and regulations and using appropriate behavior management techniques.</p> </li><li> <p>Interact with participants, utilizing available resources to plan activities that meet their recreational needs and create an atmosphere of fun.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan activities and prepare the activity area prior to program/event/shift start.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform daily duties including accurate record keeping, monetary transactions, implementation of activities, daily/weekly cleaning duties and equipment and supply of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow closing duty procedures ensuring that all equipment and supplies are wiped down and/or put away in their proper place, sign in and statistical reports are turned in and the room is clean and neat for future use.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote the department's programs and services by establishing relationships with children and their families who frequent LifeStyles in order to generate maximum participation in KidStyles, on the Rock Wall and in special programs throughout the facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend and positively contribute to all mandatory meetings and in-services.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED through the American Red Cross</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma/GED</p> </li><li> <p>Coaching, playground and/or recreational experience</p> </li><li> <p>Background working with children in a daycare and/or as a teacher</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires full range of body motion, including lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.</p> </li><li> <p>Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $15.00</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $18.44</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
