<p>Position Description: Teaching duties are four courses per semester at all undergraduate levels and may include language instruction to heritage & non-heritage learners, courses in culture, upper-division conversation and composition, Spanish for the Professions, film, and translation/interpretation.</p> <p>The successful candidate will join a small but dynamic department and will have significant language teaching experience and innovative ideas for upper-level courses in Spanish. Experience collaborating with community partners and engaging students in high-impact practices and potential to increase student recruitment & retention a plus. The successful candidate is expected to participate in departmental activities and engage in some academic advising.</p> <p>Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in Spanish or a related discipline by the start of the appointment, and native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English.
