<p>Position Title: Homologation Specialist</p> <p>Location: Onsite. Auburn Hills, MI.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>BS Engineering. </li><li>Electrical and Mechanical preferred but other disciplines can be considered. </li><li>Minimum THREE (3) years of engineering experience. </li><li>Some automotive background (other OEM interesting). </li><li>Some regulatory knowledge covering Electrical, Environmental or EV safety regulations - and a desire to become an expert. </li></ul> <p>Description:</p> <p>The Homologation Specialist (HS) engineer is responsible for supporting vehicle compliance at a system-level, working within both the global self-certification and Type Approval frameworks. The HS must understand regulations and processes, evaluate designs and create a certification plan. They assist product development teams with system-level coordination, including negotiations with Type Approval Authorities (governments). This specific HS position is intended to focus on Electrification (including xEV and high voltage batteries along with EV Safety) for the US portfolio of vehicles. Depending on background skills, other related environmental topics like emissions or other safety items could be included.
