Composes or, types from rough draft, all correspondence, reports and other materials for the Mayor, while ensuring all written materials and correspondence are grammatically correct. Uses appropriate judgment and discretion in maintaining appointment calendar for Mayor; committing him/her for events and meetings. Attends meetings as the Mayor's liaison at his/her request. Coordinates Mayor's actions and agenda for City Council meetings. Processes incoming mail. Serves as phone system operator for City Hall; using appropriate discretion and judgment while answering telephones and interacting with the public. Organizes and arranges for janitorial services for City Hall. Other duties as required.</p>
