<p>POSITION PURPOSE:</p> <p>In charge of overall planning of production, this role is an integral part of inventory control and capacity analysis. The Planning Manager coordinates and works directly with our internal customers to meet delivery dates and expectations. Develops and executes planning processes, material flow procedures, and business analyses that will drive continuous improvement in overall operations. This role oversees production planning at all MultiSource Manufacturing locations.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Create and implement product planning process at all MultiSource locations. Recommends procedures, systems, and method changes while ensuring compliance to quality control standards and continuous improvement. </li><li>Build and maintain the Demand Plan to support capacity and resource planning. Schedule demand based on the product mix, equipment and labor capacity and customer strategy. Ensure accurate commitment dates to customer service team across multiple sites. Work closely with Sales, Operations and Pre-production teams to meet customer demands. </li><li>Maintain inventory levels at all locations. Identify and quantify capacity of departments to assist in determining and communicating real-time lead times and assist in making determination of where to produce products when capacity becomes a constraint. </li><li>Proactively initiates solutions to scheduling, materials, engineering and manufacturing challenges. Provide input on issues such as Lead-time, Period of Supply, Safety stock, etc. </li><li>Schedule all phases of manufacturing to support on-time delivery to customers. Coordinates with site leaders and their departments with respect to production volume, cost, quality and meeting production schedules and delivery dates. Calculate internal lead times to communicate real time expectations. </li><li>Analyze the ERP/Excel system to ensure production planning data is accurate. </li><li>Expedites and monitors the progress of jobs released to the production floor, performs time standards and updates processes when appropriate. </li><li>Generates, communicates, and track performance(s) to the following metrics: Schedule Attainment, Inventory Days on Hand, On-Time Delivery, and other metrics as requested. </li><li>Plan, organize, and direct the Production Planning team ensuring they provide the necessary technical support to sales, manufacturing, and quality to achieve success. Manages by Leadership Effectiveness (EI). </li><li>Monitor material shortages, stock outages while working with Supply Chain and manufacturing to meet customer demands. </li><li>Keeps currently informed of new and/or maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. </li><li>Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices. </li><li>Direct and participate in CI teams and activities. </li><li>Performs related work as apparent or assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: 4-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Supply Chain/Industrial Management or other related fields is preferred. APICS Certification is preferred.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 years minimum of manufacturing planning</p> <p>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Computer experience and knowledge using Microsoft programs. Extensive ERP / MRP systems experience preferred. Utilizing spreadsheet and ERP-type software in managing the planning process. Standard business practices and production scheduling methodology.</p> <p>SKILLS ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Capable to work on multiple project/multiple locations with limited direction. </li><li>Proactive communication with both internal and external customers as issues occur. </li><li>Organization and supervisory skills to supervise diverse operations with differing needs and problems. </li><li>Communication skills to present the company's position to different management groups. </li><li>Experience with JobBOSS manufacturing software preferred or relevant ERP required with manufacturing planning process. </li><li>Ability to function in a high stress, high pressure environment, with a positive attitude. Thrives on fast-paced change and seeks to adapt to customer preferences and volatile market conditions. </li><li>Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus. </li><li>ISO Certifications in Medical, Aerospace & Defense, Food & Bakery, Semi-Conductor industries; ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, and AS9100D standards a plus. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Mobility within the work facility.</p> <p>LANGUAGE ABILITY: Professional communication in English, both verbal and written.</p>
