<p>Key Areas of Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure the quality of materials meet quality standards and customer requirements through proactive quality assurance, continuous improvement, and strong supplier relationships. </li><li>Supplier Development: Collaborate with suppliers to enhance quality management systems and ensure compliance with company standards. </li><li>Quality Audits: Conduct regular audits of suppliers to assess their quality processes and identify areas for improvement. </li><li>Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives at supplier locations to reduce defects and enhance overall quality. </li><li>Problem Solving: Address and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures. </li><li>Product Qualification: Ensure seamless supplier setup and execution of NPI material. </li><li>Cost Out: Partner with suppliers to drive cost out of products in scope. </li><li>Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of supplier performance, audits, and corrective actions. </li><li>Training: Provide training and support to suppliers on quality standards, tools, and techniques. </li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as procurement, engineering, and manufacturing to align supplier quality with company objectives. </li><li>Compliance: Ensure suppliers comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. </li><li>Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on supplier quality performance to management. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a similar role. </li><li>Ideal candidate has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) Certification. Additionally, the candidate will have 5 years of execution of projects via (LSSGB) methodologies. </li><li>The perfect candidate will have their Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Lean (LSSBB) Certification and a minimum of 7 years of execution of projects via (LSSBB) methodologies. </li><li>Proficiency in quality management tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues. </li><li>Exceptional verbal and interpersonal/written communication skills; can effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders. </li><li>Ability to lead and mentor supplier teams towards achieving quality objectives. </li><li>High attention to detail to ensure precision in audits and quality assessments. </li><li>Proactive attitude towards identifying potential quality issues before they arise. </li><li>Strong ethical standards and professionalism in supplier interactions. </li><li>Creativity in developing new approaches to improve supplier quality. </li><li>The ideal candidate has a the following Certifications: </li><li>ISO 9001:2015 - Lead Auditor Professional </li><li>ISO 9001:2015 - Internal Auditor Professional </li><li>ISO 13485:2016 - Lead Auditor Professional </li><li>ISO 13485:2016 - Internal Auditor Professional </li><li>QM - Quality Management Systems </li><li>MD - Medical Devices Quality Management Systems </li><li>AU - Management Systems Auditing </li><li>TL - Leading Management Systems Audit Teams </li><li>AQ - Process Improvement Auditor </li><li>Certified Quality Engineer </li><li>Strong PC skills (Excel, PP, Word, Access, Minitab). </li><li>Demonstrated ability to influence teams and programs regarding quality, productivity and/or customer service. </li><li>Ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction. </li><li>Overall understanding of a manufacturing company's operations. </li><li>Maximum of 50% travel to suppliers required </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, specifically Mechanical or Electrical. </li><li>B.A. or other advanced technical degrees strongly preferred. </li><li>Quality Management degree or experience a strong plus. </li></ul>
