Our team's focus is to ensure our customers have the right tools, technologies, and tactics to keep pace with an ever-evolving security landscape and succeed in their pursuit to protect people and critical assets.</p> <p>The Geospatial Analyst Solutions Directorate, part of the National Solutions Business Area, is currently seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level Test Engineer for the Maru program, a critical initiative focused on modernizing geospatial processing and exploitation mission software.</p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester to support quality assurance efforts across web applications, APIs, and microservices within an agile development environment. This role focuses on executing manual test cases, identifying defects, validating system functionality, and ensuring software meets functional and performance requirements prior to release.</p> <p>The ideal candidate has strong experience in manual software testing, requirements analysis, and defect tracking. This individual will work closely with developers, DevSecOps engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable software delivery.</p> <p>Clearance Level Required:</p> <p>Top Secret with SCI, as well as ability to obtain a Polygraph.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Agile Participation: Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Grooming, and Retrospectives, to ensure testing is considered from the start. </li><li>Test Strategy & Execution: Author, maintain, and execute detailed manual test cases and scripts based on user stories and acceptance criteria. </li><li>API Validation: Validate RESTful APIs using the available tools. </li><li>Requirements Analysis: Analyze system requirements and user stories to ensure complete test coverage and identify edge cases. </li><li>Defect Management: Identify, document, analyze, and track software defects in JIRA, and collaborate with developers to verify fixes. </li><li>Regression & Functional Testing: Perform manual and automated regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected by new changes. </li><li>Environment & Data Management: Collaborate with DevOps to manage test environments and develop test data to ensure comprehensive test coverage. </li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, and team to define clear acceptance criteria and ensure software meets functional/performance requirements, reproduce issues, and validate fixes. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>US citizenship is required per contract. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience. </li><li>4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing. </li><li>Strong experience developing and executing manual test cases. </li><li>Experience testing web-based applications and RESTful APIs. </li><li>Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management systems. </li><li>Working knowledge of RESTful services, HTTP, JSON, and web application workflows. </li><li>Understanding of SQL for database validation. </li><li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium). </li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release processes. </li><li>Familiarity with security or compliance-focused testing practices. </li></ul> <p>If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
