<p>We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Maintenance Manager for our Gallatin, Tennessee facility to lead a maintenance team that supports the facility's electrical, mechanical, and preventive/predictive process controls.</p> <p>About Us</p> <p>Insteel Wire Products, established in 1953, started from humble beginnings, embraces strong values, and has its Home Office in Mt. Airy, NC. We are the nation's largest manufacturer of steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction applications. We manufacture and market prestressed PC-strand and welded wire reinforcement, including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement and standard welded wire reinforcement for concrete reinforcement applications. The company operates eleven manufacturing facilities in nine states.</p> <p>This position is located at our Gallatin, Tennessee facility. Located thirty miles from Nashville, Gallatin is thriving with unique shopping boutiques, delicious dining options, family-friendly festivals, and a memorable historic downtown square. You are committed to creating and maintaining a safe work environment for your team.</p> <p>Position Snapshot</p> <p>Reporting to the Plant General Manager, you will supervise, and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. Ensure optimal plant and machine utilization results. Oversee job performance and quality of work performed in a multi-craft environment involved in all facets of the technical field. Train employees regarding procedures and safety. Manage the Maintenance Department by supervising daily work and schedules as well as capital projects and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).</p> <p>To perform well in this role, you will need to:</p> <p>Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Lead team members engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery </li><li>Manage the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of production machinery and support equipment </li><li>Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment </li><li>Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment; establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules </li><li>Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties </li><li>Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments </li><li>Remain pro-active related to diagnosing and preventative care of equipment </li><li>Manage the MAXIMO CMMS and supervises CMMS point person </li><li>Ensure that all department safety practices and processes are followed </li></ul> <p>Provide leadership and direction for maintenance team:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze and resolve work problems or assists workers in solving work problems </li><li>Work with direct reports to develop areas of weakness through coaching and teaching hands-on during the accomplishment of assigned work as well as developing and conducting training to improve individual performance </li><li>Promotes positive atmosphere in the maintenance departments and other departments </li><li>Oversee job performance and quality of work performed in a multi-craft environment involved in all facets of the technical field </li><li>Ensure quality on all work being performed by department </li><li>Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products </li><li>Provide opportunities for subordinates to initiate continuous improvement ideas </li></ul> <p>Purchasing:</p> <ul> <li>Manage a vendor base to ensure quality product availability while minimizing costs and maintaining the highest service levels to the plant. Includes repair and maintenance support and services </li><li>Supervise storeroom and procures plant supplies (excluding rod) </li><li>Research and executes capital appropriation expenditures </li></ul> <p>Qualifications to be considered for the role:</p> <ul> <li>Broad technical training (high school plus 1 to 3 years apprenticeship/applied trades training or 2-year associate degree). Knowledge of manufacturing methods and techniques. Leadership training desired. </li><li>Requires specific work-related experience in all facets of the technical field, industrial electrical (3-phase), controls and devices, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, mathematics, and hand tool usage to include welding, machining, and cutting. </li><li>A minimum of seven (7) years' experience leading and directing a manufacturing maintenance team. </li><li>Steel wire manufacturing experience preferred but not required. </li><li>Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) preferred. </li><li>Should have considerable experience in the following: A proven record of success in a manufacturing Maintenance Management role, stable work history, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Practices, and the ability to lead and develop a productive workforce. </li><li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word, and Outlook </li><li>An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable. </li></ul> <p>For your hard work, you receive:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive base pay </li><li>Bonus eligibility based on company performance </li><li>Opportunity for professional growth </li><li>Paid time off including holidays and vacation </li><li>Excellent benefits to include medical, dental, vision, company paid life/short-term disability/long-term disability insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings account (HSA), 401(k) with match, company paid tele-health, stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement assistance, and Employee Assistance Plan (EAP). </li></ul>
