<p>The Hampton Roads Market is accepting applications for Adjunct Professors to teach in our nursing program.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Teach clinical and/or lecture classes in in one or more areas depending on transcript review: Fundamentals, Pharmacology, Medical/Surgical, Pediatric, OB, Mental Health and/ or Lifespan Development courses, etc. </li><li>Provide scheduled/regular skills assistance and tutoring </li><li>Attend mandatory course and faculty meetings </li><li>Collaborate with nursing faculty in developing and evaluating course curriculum, learning support, and assessments </li><li>Implement and evaluate strategies for improved student retention and success </li><li>Be available to teach accepted assigned scheduled course time: day, evening, and/or weekends. </li><li>Other related duties as required </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>MS-Nursing and current RN license required (ADN, BSN) </li><li>BS-Nursing and current RN license required (PN) </li><li>Successful teaching in higher education setting preferred </li><li>Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in field required </li><li>Working knowledge of computer software (e-mail, Microsoft Word, etc.) </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success </li><li>Strong team player </li><li>Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with diverse student body in a career college environment </li></ul> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, ethnicity, national origin, color, religion, disability, marital status, veteran status, sex/gender (including pregnancy or pregnancy related conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity (including transgender status) or any other legally protected characteristics ("protected characteristics").</p> <p>Bryant & Stratton College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
