<p>Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Leader to join a cutting-edge digital payment solutions organization. The DevOps Leader will be responsible for building and supporting large-scale cloud-based automation systems, mentoring on cloud architecture, and implementing orchestration solutions. This position will be hybrid in McLean, VA!</p> <p>Responsibilities of the DevOps Leader include:</p> <ul> <li>Run, support, and build large-scale cloud-based automation and management systems </li><li>Provide cloud architecture mentorship and implement cloud orchestration solutions to support product capabilities </li><li>Continuously improve DevOps processes and pipelines </li><li>Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, operations, information security, and customer support teams to deliver end-to-end solutions </li></ul> <p>Qualifications for the DevOps Leader include:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure </li><li>Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Bash, or Go </li><li>Expert-level experience with Azure and AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service); certification preferred </li><li>Deep experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks: Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Istio, Helm Charts </li><li>Expert-level understanding of GitLab and GitLab-based deployments </li><li>Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers </li><li>Advanced system administration experience with Linux-based OS </li><li>Expert-level knowledge of ISTIO and SFTP custom setups </li><li>Payments industry experience preferred </li><li>Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience </li></ul> <p>Desirable Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Subject Matter Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins </li><li>Experience with SOC2 & PCI Compliance Requirements </li><li>Familiarity with KeyCloak, PostgreSQL, and Golang </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the DevOps Leader includes:</p> <ul> <li>Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000 (depending on seniority) </li><li>Full Benefits: Paid Holidays, Cigna Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401k </li></ul> <p>This job opens for applications on 8/7/2025.
