<p>Overview</p> <p>The Head of Capital Markets is a direct report to the CEO and is responsible for refining and executing on company's funding strategy. You will manage and enhance the ecosystem of Gilbane Development Company's funding / equity partners to capitalize our robust pipeline of development projects often working through innovative transaction structures to secure the best economics for the company. The Head of Capital Markets will also partner internally with the finance, development, operations, legal, and risk teams on revenue forecasting, strategy, business planning and operational requirements.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Structure, analyze, negotiate and execute on equity raises to facilitate company's rapid growth in multifamily, student housing and affordable housing development. </li><li>Build and cultivate existing investor relationships across all investor types including - family offices, high-net-worth investors, institutional, private banks, private equity, etc. </li><li>Develop new relationships, funding sources and deal partners. </li><li>Work directly with key Principals and Senior Officers in driving the firm's capital raising strategy and its implementation. </li><li>Provide decisive leadership while emphasizing collaboration </li><li>Prepare board and executive level presentations to guide business strategy decisioning and reporting </li><li>Initiate calls to investors and meet face-to-face to explain investment opportunities. </li><li>Participate in strategic planning with senior management to set financial goals, as well as the company's strategic agenda. · </li><li>Effectively track performance and articulate the investment strategy / results to potential and existing investors. </li><li>Participate in investment, valuation and risk management processes. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>7 to 10 years capital markets transaction execution experience in CRE sector </li><li>3 to 5 years hands on management experience </li><li>5+ years of experience in a leadership role with personnel management experience </li><li>Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably with math / business / finance / economics focus </li><li>Change management experience </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Strong excel skills required and financial modeling skills preferred </li><li>Proven problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and analytical abilities </li><li>Strong process improvement and project management abilities </li><li>Strong executive-level communication skills </li><li>Strong relationship building skills to work effectively across all areas of the business </li></ul> <p>Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
