They will seek out new business opportunities for the financial institution and keep abreast of any legal issues that might affect loans.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Analyzes the credit history of applicants and determines their loan repayment capabilities </li><li>Negotiates credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications </li><li>Develops and maintains interest rate structure to be consistent with financial institution policies and procedures </li><li>Evaluates potential customer loan requests and makes loan recommendations to management </li><li>Reviews laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial institution and makes recommendations to management when necessary </li><li>Develops new customer prospects for middle market lending and will establish new deposit relationships for the financial institution </li><li>Manage an existing portfolio of C&I and CRE loans in the Maryland region. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial institution in the commercial loan department </li><li>Extensive knowledge of commercial middle market and real estate lending policies and procedures </li><li>Extensive knowledge of lending services and related areas such as cash management </li><li>Good communication and sales skills </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of underwriting </li><li>Credit trained </li><li>Business development experience </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Ability to sit, stand, kneel and bend for extended periods of time </li><li>Must be able to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components </li><li>Ability to converse and exchange information with customers and all levels of staff within the organization </li><li>Ability to observe, perceive, and identify data </li><li>Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile, and/or bus </li></ul> <p>Disclaimer</p> <p>The position for which you are applying is one that would have access to cash, financial instruments, financial transactions, or confidential customer financial information.
