<p>STIPEND OPPORTUNITY: Summer Operational Leader</p> <p>BPS Summer programs are seeking to create a talent pool of experienced staff to provide an operational backbone and support for site operation.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>All Summer Programs:</p> <ul> <li>As assigned, support one or more Site Coordinators across one or more sites </li><li>Collaborate with Regional Site Directors, Comms team, Site Coordinators, District Social Workers, OSE Special Ed Assistant Directors, and Safety Specialists to support summer learning sites </li><li>Provide guidance, support, troubleshoot and problem solve operational issues and incidents (e.g. transportation troubleshooting, adult issues, field trip potential challenges, student conduct challenges). Document and share issues and incidents with Directors of 5th Quarter and ESY. </li><li>Utilize the Summer Safety Chain to communicate any program challenges outlined by the Incident Comms Questions and support (if needed) any follow up actions. Document and share program challenges with Directors of 5th Quarter and ESY. </li><li>Attend weekly 5th Quarter Site Director Meetings - dates/times TBD </li></ul> <p>5th Quarter Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>In May and June, coordinate with the 5th Quarter, Safety Services and Student Support teams about student placement at high school credit recovery programs </li></ul> <p>ESY Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with ESY Site Coordinators to complete investigatory meetings. Document and share meeting outcomes with Director of ESY </li><li>Liaise with Site Coordinators to manage/document on site discipline for both staff and students </li></ul> <p>Terms:</p> <ul> <li>During summer programming, the opportunity is expected to take between 30-35 hours/week with a potential for after hours work </li><li>During summer programming, Summer Operational Leaders are expected to work, and be available to be on site as needed. </li><li>Prior to the launch of summer programming, the opportunity is expected to take between 3-7 hours/week starting in May </li><li>The stipend position duration is from 5/5/2025 to 8/31/2025. Total compensation varies by week(s) worked: </li><li>5/5/2025 - 7/6/2025: 9 Weeks: Scheduled/AdHoc requirements: Weekly Pay: $500 </li><li>7/7/2025 - 8/8/2025: 5 Weeks: Full time work: Weekly Pay: $2,500 </li><li>8/9/2025 - 8/29/2025: 3 Weeks: AdHoc requirements: Weekly Pay: $500 </li><li>BASAS: In accordance with the S6500 Guidance Memorandum, no activities performed under this stipend opportunity can count towards S6500 days and BASAS employees must be on track to complete their S6500 days. </li><li>BTU: No activities under this stipend opportunity can count towards Schedule A days and BTU employees must be on track to complete their Schedule A days. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Masters Degree </li><li>Experience as a BPS Operational Leader </li><li>Extensive experience with school operations and/or school management (3+ years) </li><li>Adept at communicating (written and verbally) with a wide variety of stakeholders including but not limited to: BPS colleagues, parents and students </li></ul>
