<p>TITLE: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>Associate's Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with </li></ol> <p>required SLPA training/clinical hours.</p> <ol start="2"> <li> <p>Meets Indiana state requirements for SLPA practice and supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.</p> </li></ol> <p>5.Ability to follow therapy plans, take direction, and work effectively with diverse learners.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Building Principal/Director of Special Education.</p> <p>JOB GOAL: To support the implementation of high-quality speech and language services that improve student communication skills, promote access to the curriculum, and enhance educational outcomes under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), in accordance with Indiana state guidelines.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Conduct speech and language intervention activities as planned, designed, and supervised by the supervising SLP.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide direct services to students individually or in small groups using evidence-based strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Document student performance, collect data, and prepare materials to support the SLP's evaluation and progress-monitoring processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow therapy plans, behavioral strategies, and accommodations/modifications established by the SLP and student IEP teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in scheduling, organizing therapy spaces, and preparing instructional and therapeutic materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP regarding student progress, concerns, and needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Support generalization of communication skills across school environments in collaboration with teachers, support staff, and administrators.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA and district policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures adherence to Indiana state guidelines for special education services.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development as assigned.</p> </li></ol>
