We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon to join our dynamic and collaborative team as an Associate Professor. This position offers the opportunity to advance the field through clinical excellence, innovative research, and teaching the next generation of Orthopaedic surgeons. The successful candidate will contribute to the Department's mission of delivering exceptional patient care, education, and research in a collegial academic environment.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Provide expert clinical and surgical care in orthopaedic sports medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of athletic injuries across a varied patient population. </li><li>Perform advanced surgical procedures, including arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques, and participate in trauma or call coverage as assigned. </li><li>Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to the academic mission through formal instruction and clinical supervision. </li><li>Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical or translational research, with an expectation to contribute to publications, presentations, and potential grant or clinical trial funding. </li><li>Participate in departmental leadership and collaboration, supporting strategic initiatives, program development, and multidisciplinary care coordination within the academic medical center. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Medical Degree (MD or DO) or foreign equivalent. </li><li>Completion of Orthopaedic Surgery Residency program. </li><li>Completion of a fellowship in Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery. </li><li>Ohio medical license. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements/Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands. </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits</p> <p>UC offers an exceptional benefits package designed to support your well-being, financial security, and work-life balance.
