<ul> <li>Ensure standard work of all team members is being followed and training goals are met. </li><li>Assist in scheduling, coordinating, and tracking shop employees as they go through the training programs. </li><li>Foster a continuous improvement environment focused on process improvements in all areas. </li><li>Ensure company policies and safety practices are being followed. </li><li>Work with the Production Training Supervisor to ensure company goals are being achieved. </li><li>Perform job training, product training and cross department training with production employees. </li><li>Provide input to the Production Training Supervisor regarding employee performance, including progress, skill development, and areas for improvement. </li><li>Develop and maintain standardized job instruction as directed by the Production Training Supervisor. </li><li>Maintain a positive attitude on the shop floor, acting as a leader of the Production Training team. </li><li>Promote a team environment while ensuring proper training and re-training of team members in various departments by using JI's. </li><li>Assist with work in production departments as needed (shipping, assembly areas, inventory, etc…). </li><li>Help lead the Production Training Team by improving training practices, on time performance, safety, retention, and quality. </li><li>Observe and monitor work performed by team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency. </li><li>Lead daily accountability meetings and assist employees in generating and implementing continuous improvement ideas. </li><li>Drive improvement through job shadowing of the shop floor processes and execution of NORDPro principles. </li><li>Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of the Training bench and training rooms using 5s techniques. </li><li>Conduct new hire onboarding group training as necessary. </li><li>Perform any other tasks or job responsibilities as requested by supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or college degree preferred.</p> <p>Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a production environment with leadership & training experience preferred.</p> <p>Skills and Key Attributes: Self-motivated, positive attitude, understanding of lean principles, good verbal & written communication skills, attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, & strong leadership skills.</p> <p>Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to stand on feet and move around for up to 10-12 hours per day.</p>
