<p>Our Construction Equipment group is seeking a full-time Field Service Manager for our Byron Center, MI location.</p> <p>Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Organize and present at weekly tech meetings and safety training </li><li>Maintain high quality service delivery in an efficient, productive, and profitable manner </li><li>Maintain ongoing maintenance schedules for service accounts </li><li>Organize, coordinate, and schedule all scheduled maintenance, replacement, and Customer service work orders </li><li>Assist or assign assistance for technician on accounts to ensure work quality </li><li>Maintain open and positive communication (both in verbal and written form) with employees, departments, customers, and vendors </li><li>Maintain appropriate staffing level and workload distribution to meet customer and business needs </li><li>Dispatch according to priority </li><li>Meet or exceed monthly budgeted revenue with a 65% or higher GP </li><li>Work with PSSR to quote repairs timely and accurately </li><li>Open and close work orders with accuracy and clarity for customer billing </li><li>Monitor employee training progress </li><li>Discipline according to the Alta Handbook / Local 324 union - working closely with HR </li><li>Oversee payroll entry and audit for accuracy </li><li>Purchase order acquisition and coordination </li><li>Monitor work in progress daily </li><li>Responsible for condition of service vehicles and facility </li><li>Required to be in the on the weekend on call rotation for your segment </li><li>Recruit / interview / hire technicians </li><li>Perform yearly technician reviews </li><li>Promote a positive customer experience </li><li>Incorporates Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities </li><li>Performs other duties as needed </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands/Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will sit, use hands, talk/hear; Occasionally will stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell. </li><li>Vision Requirements: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) </li><li>Lift and/or Move Functions: Occasionally up to 25 pounds </li><li>Work Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts, exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions </li></ul>
