<p>Pickerington Local School District (PLSD) is seeking interested applicants for a Custodian/Groundskeeper position at Pickerington High School North. This is a combined position consisting of 2 hours per day of custodial work and 6 hours per day of groundskeeping work. This is a Tuesday through Saturday work schedule, 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm) and is a 12 month position, 8-hours per day.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalency </li><li>Experience in groundskeeping type work such as grass cutting and shrubbery care </li><li>Previous custodial work experience preferred </li><li>Experience in layout and lining athletic fields </li><li>Experience in the use and repair of mowing equipment </li><li>Mechanical/welding experience preferred </li><li>Experience in the maintenance of fences, asphalt, concrete, ceilings, playground equipment, athletic equipment, repairing floors, doors and windows </li><li>Experience with operating heating and ventilating equipment </li><li>Ability to lift, push, pull or carry 80 pounds </li><li>Ability to perform manual labor for long periods of time </li><li>Ability to assist principal/supervisor in creating a safe, clean, positive and comfortable environment </li><li>Ability to follow directions and a strong desire to succeed </li><li>Must be respectful and work collaboratively with peers </li><li>Ability to maintain and respect confidential information and situations </li><li>Ability to work well with students, staff and parents of diverse populations </li></ul> <p>If interested in this position, complete the online application.</p> <p>The Plan for Progress (P4P) for Pickerington Local Schools is fundamentally linked to how well we value,</p> <p>employ and maintain a broad diverse culture within our schools and community.
