<p>Store Manager - Harris Ace Hardware (Monroe, WI)</p> <p>Location: Monroe, WI</p> <p>Job Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Pay: $65,000-$75,000 (based on experience)</p> <p>Schedule: Primarily days; nights as needed and every other weekend required</p> <p>About Harris Ace Hardware</p> <p>Harris Ace Hardware is a locally owned, family-operated Ace Hardware chain with deep roots in our communities. We focus on friendly service, knowledgeable staff, and clean, well-organized stores that customers trust. The Monroe location is a key part of our five-store operation, and we are seeking a strong Store Manager to lead the team day-to-day.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Store Manager is responsible for overall store operations, sales performance, inventory health, and team leadership. This is a hands-on, customer-focused role with an emphasis on accountability, merchandising standards, and employee development.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead daily store operations to ensure excellent customer service and a safe, organized environment </li><li>Hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop store associates </li><li>Drive sales, margin, and inventory performance using Ace tools and reporting </li><li>Oversee ordering, receiving, inventory accuracy, and shrink control </li><li>Execute merchandising standards, planograms, and seasonal transitions </li><li>Manage payroll, labor scheduling, and timekeeping accuracy </li><li>Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve escalations as needed </li><li>Communicate effectively with ownership and support teams </li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and Ace Hardware standards </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Retail management experience (hardware, home improvement, or similar preferred) </li><li>Strong leadership and people-management skills </li><li>Working knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and retail KPIs </li><li>Comfortable using POS systems, reports, and basic computer tools </li><li>Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve independently </li><li>Customer-first mindset with strong attention to detail </li><li>Ability to work some nights and weekends </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary based on experience </li><li>Paid time off and holidays </li><li>Employee discount </li><li>Health Insurance </li><li>401k </li><li>Support from a locally owned company that values practical leadership and long-term growth </li><li>Opportunity to be part of a stable, growing Ace Hardware chain </li></ul> <p>Company Introduction</p> <p>We are your local hardware store and we are a part of your community.
