<p>Description</p> <p>Boulder County Human Services is seeking to hire aBilingual Family Time Caseworker. This position will provide vitalsupport to parents, facilitatingmeaningful family time that honors thediversity and cultural backgrounds ofeach family. Through this work, you'llprovide invaluable support to familiesnavigating challenging times,empowering them towardreunification.</p> <p>This is a full-time, benefited positionthat will work between the hours of9am - 6:30pm, Monday - Friday.Some Saturday work as required to meet the needs of families. This position will work out of 515 Coffman Street inLongmont, CO. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.</p> <p>Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.</p> <p>Hiring Salary Range: $62,520.00 - $76,284.00 Annually</p> <p>Tentative Hiring Timeline:</p> <ul> <li>Phone Screening: December 17th </li><li>First Round Interviews: December 22nd </li><li>Second Round Interviews: December 29th </li><li>Language Proficiency Test: January 5th </li><li>Reference Check: December 30th </li></ul> <p>New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month (Must not have been employed at Boulder County during the 12 months prior to re-hire date to qualify). Boulder County offers bountiful benefits, including pension contributions.</p> <p>Boulder County employees may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). Visit studentaid.gov for more information.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Provide family time services thatrespect and uplift families' unique cultural identities, ensuring every member feels valued and included </li><li>Support and monitor family time between children in open child welfare cases and their parents, identifying strengths, challenges, and any safety concerns during family time </li><li>Offer coaching and intervention when necessary to ensure a safe, supportive environment </li><li>Transport children to and from family time sessions, ensuring their safety and comfort, including carrying infants and toddlers as needed </li><li>Document and observe parent-child interactions, focusing on highlighting strengths and providing constructive feedback to foster growth and connection </li><li>Deliver expert testimony in court hearings, such as Termination of Parental Rights (TPR), return home hearings, and family time-specific proceedings </li><li>Collaborate regularly with other professionals to determine the appropriate level and location of supervised visits </li><li>Remain flexible in scheduling to meet the needs of families, adapting to changes as required </li><li>Participate in team meetings, family engagement meetings, group supervision, staff training, and other agency or community engagements </li><li>Performs related work, as required </li><li>May be reassigned in emergency situations </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>PLEASE NOTE: When completing your application describe all relevant education and experience, as applications are assessed based on the required qualifications listed. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of:</p> <p>A bachelor'sdegreefrom a higher education institution with course work related to the job responsibilities of child welfare social caseworker and</p> <p>1 (one) year of human services casework experience</p> <p>Course work examples can include and are not limited to, the development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, or therapeutic techniques.</p> <p>Additional related education may count towards required experience.</p> <p>DRIVER'S LICENSE & RELIABLE VEHICLE:</p> <ul> <li>Applicants must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record </li><li>Access to reliable transportation that is readily available for business use </li><li>For more information regarding a clean driving record, please click here. </li></ul> <p>BACKGROUND CHECK & FINGERPRINTING:</p> <ul> <li>A job offer is contingent on passing a background investigation with fingerprinting </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Candidate must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. </li><li>Candidate must be able to navigate different terrains </li></ul> <p>BILINGUAL SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Applicants must demonstrate English and Spanish fluency at the time of the pre-employment screening process.
