<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Under the general supervision of the Veterans Home Administrator (Commandant) at WVHUG, this position provides routine office/program support and administrative assistance to a multi-disciplinary team. Work assignments may be in support of campus-wide activities or specific interrelated functions as directed by the Commandant.</p> <p>Click the link to view a copy of the full Office Associate job description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting wage is $19.10 per hour.</p> <p>Office Associate is in pay schedule-pay range 02-09. Pay will be set in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire. Starting pay for current State employees may vary based on applicable provisions in the Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>This position works 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Overtime offered as needed.</p> <p>Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment.</p> <p>Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test.</p> <p>A 12-month probationary period may be required.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>The required qualification that will be reviewed in the first step of the process is experience:</p> <ul> <li>Performing reception duties (e.g., greeting visitors, screening and directing calls, providing information, logging visitors, arranging for a staff escort for visitors, opening and routing mail, accepting deliveries, answering emails, etc.) </li></ul> <p>The preferred qualification that will be reviewed in the first step of the process is experience:</p> <ul> <li>Performing reception duties in a healthcare setting (e.g., doctor's office, clinic, dentist's office, hospital, nursing home, etc.) </li></ul> <p>In addition to the qualifications reviewed in the first step of the process, qualifications that will be reviewed in next steps are experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Providing customer service *</p> </li><li> <p>Using a computer to perform work tasks *</p> </li><li> <p>With professional communication and business phone etiquette *</p> </li><li> <p>Managing multiple responsibilities *</p> </li></ul> <p>Items marked with an asterisk (*) are required.</p> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>You must apply online on WiscJobs.
