Come on board as a highly appreciated member of a winning team.</p> <p>As an Infrastructure Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank group, you develop knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Through this work you begin to apply your proficiency in a single application or technical methodology. Your hands-on knowledge in POS terminals, system design, application support, testing, and operational stability will help your team deliver high-quality products. You'll be instrumental in solving more difficult technical issues, working closely with 3rd party vendors, supporting terminal and application upgrades and developing integration elements.</p> <p>Job responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met </li><li>Provides technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery </li><li>Drives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completion </li><li>Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters </li><li>Escalates issues to appropriate leaders </li><li>Develops considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications </li><li>Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills</p> <ul> <li>Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience </li><li>Experience with testing and/or troubleshooting POS terminals from vendors such as Ingenico, Verifone or PAX </li><li>Exposure with one or more general-purpose programming languages: Python, Java, Kotlin, C, C++, Power Shell </li><li>Proficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments </li><li>General knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and moderate proficiency in relevant scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.) </li><li>Experience with cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds </li><li>Basic technical knowledge of additional technical domains </li><li>Basic data fluency and automation knowledge </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills</p> <ul> <li>Exposure with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) </li><li>Understanding of cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages </li><li>Knowledge of data at rest and data in transit encryption concepts </li><li>Vendor Management experience </li></ul>
