<p>Job#: 3027083</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>JOB TITLE: PROJECT / PROGRAM MANAGER V</p> <p>DURATION: 12 MONTHS</p> <p>LOCATION: ONSITE IN Manassas, VA</p> <p>PAY RATE: $77 - $87 HOURLY</p> <p>Job Description: The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team is a project management and execution team that manages construction activity within the operational data center spaces. The CPI team is tasked with critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling within operational data centers around the globe. These activities are outside of the scope of standard construction delivery and regular preventative maintenance tasks.</p> <p>The CPI PM serves as support to Data Center Project Managers (PM); managing on site activities between 6am and 3pm. PM(s) will partner with Data Center Project Manager(s) for specific tasks, as assigned. The PM will support the execution of CPI projects from start to closeout. Adaptability is key requirement for the role to evolve with changing demands and priorities. Projects include the improvement of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural systems. Elementary knowledge of these systems and the ability to support the coordination, direction and implementation of these efforts are required. PM personnel are required to work both independently as well as a part of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver results. Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times while performing walk-throughs and overseeing vendor work.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee construction activities for safety and policy adherence on behalf of the CPI Project Manager. </li><li>Create Method of Procedures (MOP) and MCMs and ensure vendors perform work according to Method of Procedures (MOP) </li><li>Maintain constant communication with CPI PM to escalate any procedural deviations and safety incidents </li><li>Coordinate project schedules </li><li>Document weekly status updates </li><li>Conduct morning briefings to review work to be accomplished and applicable safety protocols </li><li>Coordinate/receive deliveries </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>5 to 10 years' experience working in on-site construction trades (e.g. mechanical, electrical, general). </li><li>5+ years of on-site construction trade vendor management. </li><li>5+ years supporting Data Center projects </li><li>Knowledge of Data Center Electrical and Mechanical systems </li><li>NFPA70E Certification </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot technical and non-technical problems </li><li>Detail oriented </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to understand building systems and construction drawings </li><li>Ability to identify risks and impacts of project activities and propose effective mitigations </li><li>Ability to move and stand for up to 8 hours </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years' experience leading retrofit projects in an AWS data center </li><li>Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering </li><li>Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification </li><li>OSHA-30 Certification </li></ul> <p>EEO Employer</p> <p>Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
