<p>JOB OPENING FOR AN</p> <p>EQUESTRIAN EVENTS DIRECTOR FOR THE WASHINGTON COUNTY LEGACY PARK FULL TIME WITH BENEFITS / $90,000 Annually Performs a variety of professional administrative, managerial, and operational duties related to equestrian and non-equestrian events and facility operations. Oversee coordinating, monitoring utilization, upkeep, and maintenance at Legacy Park and associated facilities. Responsible for the development, management and operations of Legacy Park. Primarily responsible for maintaining effective and cooperative communication with stakeholders. Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure high-quality event support and facility management. Serves as liaison between County leadership and equestrian event organizers. Develops annual projections of materials, equipment, and supplies. Develops and recommend annual budget and oversees financial operations at legacy park. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of equestrian event operations including but not limited to: rodeos, barrel racing, clinics, and horse shows. Familiarity with arena preparation, equipment usage, livestock care, and event safety protocols. Ability to supervise staff and volunteers effectively. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Comfortable operating and maintaining equipment such as tractors, drags, and other arena tools. Special Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age.
