As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.</p> <p>You will partner with established product, architect, and security members of the team to train and create a motivated development function with newly hired and more junior team members to deliver strategic parts of our control's ecosystem.</p> <p>Job responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems </li><li>Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others </li><li>Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems </li><li>Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture </li><li>Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies </li><li>Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills</p> <ul> <li>Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience </li><li>5+ years of continuous Python development experience on large/medium sized projects </li><li>Cloud proficiency experience is required. </li><li>Experience with Terraform scripting and deployment </li><li>Deep understanding of Python data structures, standard library, third-party packages, testing frameworks like pytest or unittest, ORM libraries like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM. </li><li>Experience in AWS Data Analytics platform and related services - S3, AWS Glue, RedShift, Athena, Lake Formation, Lambda etc. </li><li>Application Design and Design Patterns are important, including micro service and cloud design patterns </li><li>Experience working in an Agile Development environment and is able to contribute/facilitate Agile ceremonies. </li><li>Experience with Graph Databases, including OpenCypher and GSQL, or Relational Databases including DML, DDL, and PL/SQL </li><li>Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods </li><li>Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in full stack development having experience creating REST based services on Java/Spring/Spring Boot. </li><li>AWS Experience is preferred </li></ul>
