This grant-funded position is contingent upon continued funding associated with the grant. The primary purpose of this role is to engage with both prospective and current students to ensure they are well-informed, supported, and connected to the resources and services provided by the Office of Work-Based Learning.</p> <p>By offering personalized guidance to students on work-based learning opportunities, the Student Outreach Specialist will empower individuals to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical experience. Through informative group presentations and workshops, they will broaden awareness and access to these opportunities among both students and faculty. Additionally, their active involvement in professional development programs and networking events fosters valuable connections for students and contributes to their professional growth.</p> <p>The salary for this position starts at $48,726.00 and is determined commensurate with education and experience. This position description does not represent in any way a contract of employment. </li></ul> <p>Principal Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist the ECMC Project Director and The Office of Work-based Learning to expand field experiences from 4% to 20% of traditional student enrollment over 3 years. </li><li>Recruit and provide information to Sinclair students about WBL and the WBL Office. </li><li>Coach and assist students seeking WBL assistance. </li><li>Build communication and relationships with Sinclair faculty to expand awareness of WBL. </li><li>Assist or lead event planning and organizing meet and greets. </li><li>Collect and maintain accurate data related to student outreach and engagements </li><li>Assist the Office of WBL with projects that align with the ECMC Grant. </li><li>Other duties as needed for success of the ECMC Grant. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of an associate's degree in education, communication, marketing, public relations, psychology, counseling, or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience required </li><li>Communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, adaptable, and able to work with a team and independently required </li><li>Comfortable with coaching and assisting individuals required </li><li>Experience with outreach, recruitment, planning and executing events, or community engagement preferred </li><li>Proficient with communication and marketing tools required </li><li>Ability to understand and appreciate cultural diversity required </li><li>Ability to collect data related to outreach efforts, student engagement, and program effectiveness required </li></ul> <p>Supplemental Questions</p> <p>Required fields are indicated with an asterisk (*).</p> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>Do you have a minimum of an associate's degree in a related field? </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Yes</p> </li><li> <p>No</p> </li><li> <ul> <li>Do you have a minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience? </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Yes</p> </li><li> <p>No</p> </li></ul> <p>Applicant Documents</p> <p>Required Documents</p> <ul> <li>Resume </li><li>Cover Letter </li></ul> <p>Optional Documents</p> <ul> <li>Other </li><li>General Transcript </li></ul>
