<p>Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician -</p> <p>Department: Public Services</p> <p>Pay Grade: 206</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for semi-skilled manual labor maintaining and cleaning Town buildings and facilities.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor to public buildings </li><li>Performs custodial duties </li><li>Order required cleaning supplies as necessary </li><li>Locks and unlocks assigned buildings; secures building when facilities are not in use, checking for unlocked doors and windows; reports any unauthorized occupants, turns off lights. </li><li>Provides assistance to other Town departments as directed </li><li>Represents the Town and interacts with the public on a daily basis </li><li>Performs other duties as required </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>One (1) year prior work experience </li><li>Valid South Carolina Driver's License </li><li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of building maintenance requirements; janitorial requirements, techniques, and procedures </li><li>Ability to establish effective working relationships with the public, contractors/vendors </li><li>Knowledge of operation and maintenance of Division equipment and effective practices and techniques </li><li>Knowledge of department safety practices and techniques </li><li>Knowledge of various department tools and equipment </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form </li><li>Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a detailed and accurate manner </li><li>Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees </li><li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team </li></ul> <p>To deliver superior performance in a manner that is distinctive and impactful to each person served and that establishes a standard for quality that endures for generations.</p> <p>Other details</p> <ul> <li>Pay Type Hourly </li><li>Min Hiring Rate $18.33 </li><li>Max Hiring Rate $22.91 </li></ul> <p>Apply Now</p> <ul> <li>Mt Pleasant, SC, USA </li></ul>
