The successful candidate will have outstanding calibration and maintenance skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best in class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction.</p> <p>Typical work schedule is 7:00am-3:30pm M-F, days and hours vary based on business demand.</p> <p>As the Instrumentation & Controls Technician, your daily duties for this role will include:</p> <ul> <li>Acting as the subject-matter expert in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing calibration service on the production equipment. </li><li>Effectively communicating with the site management team and the end user. </li><li>Identifying and correcting any safety-related issues. </li><li>Performing independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. </li><li>Performing General Maintenance of equipment. </li><li>Utilizing software such as DeltaV, AMS, and Valve link to commission and troubleshoot equipment. </li><li>Maintaining and calibrating all instrumentation associated with Water Discharge. </li><li>Maintaining and repairing emissions monitoring and water treatment equipment to ensure all state and federal regulations are met. </li><li>Utilizing strong mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments. </li><li>Operating various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions. </li><li>Operating a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware to perform work. </li><li>Utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track, schedule, calibrate, and maintain records for process equipment. </li><li>Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). </li><li>Analyzing and resolving work problems or assisting workers in solving work problems. </li><li>Developing and monitoring work assignments for other technicians and coaches. </li><li>Responding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards. </li><li>Creating and modifying site operation procedures for equipment and recommending measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. </li><li>Providing regular reports to senior management regarding throughput, performance, issues, and projects. </li><li>Performing other duties as assigned by Management or Lead. </li></ul> <p>As the Instrumentation & Controls Technician, you will be expected to:</p> <ul> <li>Work in a team environment with a one team mentality; shift priorities as needed or requested by management and remain flexible. </li><li></li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent. </li><li>Six years of experience as an instrumentation and controls technician role including operating and maintaining steam driven turbines for power generation in a pharmaceutical, chemical, industrial, or related laboratory environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Knowledge of Industrial Boiler Operation inclusive of any pressure, temperature, and flow monitoring equipment. </li><li>Knowledge of Steam Turbine Operation working speeds, pressures, and safety protocols with steam driven turbines in a power plant/distribution center. </li><li>Knowledge of Gas Turbine Operations. </li><li>Knowledge of interrelationship between digital controls systems and field instrumentation. </li><li>Knowledge of maintenance and operation of remotely operating valve inclusive of actuator, positioner, and valve itself. </li><li>Ability to maintain monitoring equipment associated with ancillary systems. </li><li>Understanding of process automation and integrated relationship with automated steam and water systems. </li><li>Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location. </li><li>Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and alternative work schedules. </li><li>Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested. </li><li>Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident. </li><li>This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. </li></ul> <p>Some physical/special requirements include:</p> <ul> <li>Regularly lift to 50 lbs </li><li>Regularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding </li><li>Repetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement </li><li>Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions </li><li>Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding </li><li>Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. </li><li>Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment. </li></ul> <p>Pfizer Site Requirement:</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate Degree or Technical School Certificate for Instrumentation and/or Electronics, or equivalent field experience </li><li>Experience with digital controls systems, PLCs, etc. </li><li>Experience working with Reliability Engineers to determine Root Cause Failure Analysis and discuss vibration findings. </li><li>Hands-on experience with the operation, repair and maintenance of Honeywell, Siemens, and Delta-V control equipment devices. </li><li>Experience in calibration and repair on instrument transmitters including Pressure, Pressure Differential, Vacuum, Temperature, RH, CO2, Speed, Flow, and Level. </li></ul> <p>Compensation Details:</p> <p>34.00-38.00</p> <p>The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
