As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors </li><li>Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others </li><li>Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes </li><li>Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus </li><li>Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle </li><li>Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications, capabilities and skills</p> <ul> <li>Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience </li><li>Experience leading teams of technologists and ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives </li><li>Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent. </li><li>Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability </li><li>Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) </li><li>Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight </li><li>Proficiency in Java/J2EE and REST APIs, Web Services and experience in building event-driven Micro Services and Kafka streaming. </li><li>Experience in Spring Framework, Spring Boot and AWS Services in public cloud infrastructure </li><li>Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security </li><li>Working proficiency in developmental toolsets like GIT/Bitbucket, JIRA, Maven </li><li>Experience working at code level. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Finance domain experience with United States Banking & Payments industry, and knowledge and working experience on Card Network Payment and Fraud. </li><li>Leading experience of Java Micro services application on AWS/Public cloud platform. </li><li>Experience with Aurora Postgres DB </li><li>Certifications in Java programming or related technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Spring Certification). Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate). </li></ul>
