<p>The Instructional Coach will play a pivotal role in improving student literacy outcomes by supporting teachers in implementing effective, evidence-based reading and writing instruction. Using a student-centered coaching model, the Instructional Coach will collaborate with educators to develop strategies, analyze data, and provide professional development to enhance instruction aligned with the Science of Reading and district-adopted curricula.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Instructional Support</p> <p>? Collaborate with teachers to design, implement, and reflect on literacy instruction practices.</p> <p>? Model effective literacy teaching strategies, including small-group and differentiated instruction.</p> <p>? Provide real-time coaching and feedback to teachers during lessons.</p> <p>? Co-teach lessons to support the integration of district literacy curricula, including CKLA, UFLI, and TWR.</p> <p>? Spend 75% of the time in coaching cycles.</p> <p>Data Analysis and Goal Setting</p> <p>? Assist teachers in analyzing formative and summative assessment data to identify student needs and guide instruction.</p> <p>? Develop targeted action plans to address literacy gaps and monitor student progress. ? Support the use of data platforms, such as EES Innovation, for streamlined assessment and reporting.</p> <p>Professional Development</p> <p>? Plan and deliver workshops, training sessions, and professional learning community (PLC) meetings focused on literacy best practices.</p> <p>? Stay informed about current research and trends in literacy education to inform instructional strategies.</p> <p>? Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs) focused on literacy improvement.</p> <p>Student Support</p> <p>? Collaborate with teachers to develop intervention plans for students struggling with literacy.</p> <p>? Provide resources and strategies to enhance student engagement and learning in reading and writing.</p> <p>Program Development and Alignment</p> <p>? Ensure literacy instruction aligns with Indiana Academic Standards, IREAD, ILEARN and SAT expectations, and district goals.</p> <p>? Work closely with administrators to integrate coaching into school improvement plans. ? Act as a liaison between district leadership and classroom teachers to ensure consistent implementation of literacy initiatives.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Certification</p> <p>? Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred). ? Valid teaching license with the Early Literacy Endorsement or proof of intended completion prior to starting the Instructional Coach position.</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>? Minimum of 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience in literacy or related areas.</p> <p>? Proven experience in providing professional development or coaching to educators. Skills and Competencies</p> <p>? Deep knowledge of literacy instruction, including the Science of Reading, CKLA, UFLI, and TWR.</p> <p>? Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with teachers, administrators, and staff.</p> <p>? Proficiency in analyzing and using student data to drive instructional decisions. ? Ability to collaborate and lead in a team-based environment.</p> <p>? Demonstrated commitment to equity and excellence in education.</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>? Work primarily in K-8 school settings.</p> <p>? Occasional travel to attend district meetings or professional development events. ?
