You will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure systems that support our business needs and, if needed, you will also step in as a Senior/Lead Cloud Engineer, handling troubleshooting, optimization, and guiding the team through complex challenges.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement robust data center and cloud architectures that align with business objectives, and design and manage hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises and cloud environments effectively. Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources to balance cost efficiency with high performance. </li><li>Act as the go-to Senior/Lead Cloud Engineer during operations, resolving issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring up time. </li><li>Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards across all environments. Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud and data center operations. </li><li>Lead projects from concept through implementation, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and objectives. Maintain up-to-date documentation on architecture, configurations, and processes. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or a related field. </li><li>7+ years in cloud engineering and data center management, plus at least 3 years in an architecture or senior engineering role. </li><li>Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with a strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including networking and virtualization. </li><li>Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python). </li></ul> <p>AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, or Google Cloud Architect preferred.</p> <p>Please forward resume(s) to Lisa Barton at lbarton@summerfield.net</p> <p>APPLY</p>
