<p>CRAFT MANPOWER COORDINATOR</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Craft Manpower Coordinator supports operations by overseeing craft workforce management in Utah, including adherence to Local Union 295 labor regulations. Responsibilities include manpower and skills tracking, workforce allocation, hiring support, onboarding, training coordination, and temporary worker program administration. This role aims to enhance craft staffing efficiencies, accelerate hiring, and optimize labor resources. Reporting directly to HR Operations, this position works closely with field operations leadership, including general superintendents of commercial construction and concrete.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with Local Union 295 labor agreements and regulations for craft laborers in Utah. </li><li>Coordinate site field assessments and training for craft teams in collaboration with field operations and talent development. </li><li>Provide skills-based reporting for field leadership based on craft assessments. </li><li>Lead workforce planning efforts to efficiently allocate workforce based on project needs. </li><li>Forecast capacity, turnover, and hiring needs for craft labor based on upcoming manpower requirements. </li><li>Oversee the temporary worker program, identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction. </li><li>Support delivery of required safety training and ensure adherence to company policies and new operational technologies. </li><li>Facilitate the hiring and onboarding process for craft team members, working with the Talent Acquisition and Safety teams. </li><li>Assist with benefits, open enrollment, all-hands meetings, and other company events. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in business, HR, construction management, or a related field is preferred. </li><li>We prefer experience in workforce planning, scheduling, or labor management. </li><li>Background in craft work (laborer, carpenter, cement mason) is a plus. </li><li>3-5 years of related experience are preferred. </li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish (required). </li><li>A valid driver's license is required for company-related travel. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Understanding or ability to learn Local Union 295 labor regulations. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels in both English and Spanish. </li><li>Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point. </li><li>Ability to influence hiring and staffing decisions using data to support recommendations. </li><li>The ability to support company initiatives, build cross-functional relationships, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this job. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision. The employee is also required to inspect the project frequently and will be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, wind, and heat. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.</p> <p>Works from a normal office setting; however, perform a significant amount of work in all spaces within the facility. May need to work outside in all types of weather or in all kinds of work environments.</p> <p>Hazards: May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold as well as certain unsafe environments; occasionally works near moving equipment and mechanical parts, heavy machinery, lasers, powder-actuated tools, and electrical equipment; possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles; possible exposure to internal liquids. This is a safety-sensitive position where a momentary lapse of attention can result in serious injury or death. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally very loud. Must follow all safety requirements carefully.</p>
