We take patients that have heart catheterizations, pacemakers, and ablations. We take critical drips that only 2N and ICU can take. 2N is great stepping stone for nurses that want to get into ICU or the ER, but would like acute care experience first.</p> <p>The Cardiology unit works as team to provide excellent care to our patients, their families, and each other. If you are ready to learn about the heart, our Cardiology unit is the place to be! Our Cardiologists will even patiently answer any questions you may have. We are a family at work and would love to have you join our team.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.</p> <p>Recruiter: Lacey Spoon || Lspoon2@covhlth.com || 865-374-5404</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Completes nursing history and initiates patient education. </li><li>Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members. </li><li>Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis. Evaluates care outcomes. </li><li>Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments, with supervision. </li><li>Introduces new employees/students to unit routines. </li><li>Participates on unit-based committees. </li><li>Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills (checklist) to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served. </li><li>Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs and sitters. </li><li>Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Education:</p> <p>None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.</p> <p>Minimum Experience:</p> <p>New graduate, within first (1st) year of orientation (move to level II after one (1) year experience).</p> <p>Licensure Requirement:</p> <p>Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN licensure. CPR required.</p>
