<p>Job Details</p> <p>Level: Experienced</p> <p>Job Location: Fisk University - Nashville, TN</p> <p>Position Type: Part Time</p> <p>Education Level: Graduate Degree</p> <p>Salary Range: Undisclosed</p> <p>Job Category: Education</p> <p>Description</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The part-time adjunct position in Business Administration provides a great opportunity to enhance one's academic, scholarly and creative abilities. The selected candidate should be able to teach a full range of courses in Business with one or more specialty areas such as International Business, Economics, Statistics Business Management, Marketing, Small Business Management, Human Resources, Applied Calculus,Purchasing/Supply Management Finance and Entrepreneurship.</p> <ul> <li>Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes </li><li>Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts </li><li>Evaluates and grades students' class work, assignments, papers, and examinations </li><li>Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines </li><li>Be attentive to responding to students emails within a 24 hour time frame </li><li>Periodic meetings with supervisor or Chair of the department </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Primary responsibilities include teaching a two classes ( 6 hours) per semester in the Business disciple to undergraduate students. Must be able to teach face-to-face on campus, hybrid, or full online courses, subject to the needs of the department of business at Fisk University.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>A Ph.D. in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with experience in teaching a variety of courses in subdisciplines of Business.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of 3 years successful teaching in the field of Business </li><li>Proven ability to cultivate professional relationships with local, state and federal businesses </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements: A background and credit check will be required of the successful applicant. An official transcript (if applicable) and names, addresses and phone numbers of three (3) references will be required of the successful applicant.</p> <p>Licenses or Certificates: None required.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.</p> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>Normal office conditions.
