<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>At Saint Mary's Hospital, the IV Therapy Registered Nurse RN provides patient care by specializing in administering intravenous medicine, vitamins, or fluids.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>You will insert and maintain peripheral IVs, midline catheters, and other types of lines.</p> </li><li> <p>Administration and monitoring of medications, blood products, and fluids while calculating and documenting dosages, adjustments, protocols, and patients' vitals during treatments.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, healthcare team members, and the patient and family to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care delivery</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience: At least 1 year of experience with PICC lines placement/access/de-access, Midlines, Port access/de-access, and placement of Peripheral sites is required.</p> </li><li> <p>BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits:</p> <p>Part-Time - Per Diem - Rotating Shifts.</p> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Saint Mary's Hospital, operating since 1909, is a Catholic, not-for-profit, community teaching hospital dedicated to serving patients in Waterbury, CT, and the surrounding communities.
